Property Services in Vermont
Across the river from Plainfield: from Norwich down to Windsor, and up the Ottauquechee to Woodstock and Barnard.

My office is in Plainfield, New Hampshire, but the Connecticut River is a short drive away, and the Vermont side of the Upper Valley is as much a part of the work as the New Hampshire side. Hartland sits directly across the river. Windsor is over the covered bridge from Cornish. White River Junction and Norwich face Lebanon and Hanover.
Much of this side of the river is second-home country: village houses in Woodstock and Norwich, farmhouses in the hills of Pomfret and Barnard, homes around Quechee that stand quiet for weeks between visits. Those are the properties that most need someone paying attention while the owners are away, and where one accountable local steward makes the biggest difference.
Vermont
What I look after in Vermont
Estate Management
The whole Vermont property held as one responsibility: house, land, outbuildings, vendors and budget, with one person answerable for all of it.
IIConcierge Services
The house opened, warmed and stocked before a ski weekend or a foliage visit, and deliveries, mail and trades handled in between.
IIIDaily Stewardship
Home watch on a set rhythm while you are away, with photographs after every visit and a check after every storm and hard freeze.
IVInfrastructure
Wells, pumps, septic, generators, solar and drainage on rural properties, serviced on a calendar rather than on failure.
VProblem Prevention
Inspections before winter and after the thaw, the two moments when a Vermont house shows you what it needs.
VIProject Coordination
Renovations and restorations, including older farmhouses, barns and outbuildings, run on your behalf from first estimate to final walkthrough.
Through the year
A Vermont year, and what it asks of a house.
Most of what goes wrong with a house here follows the calendar. So does the work.
Winter
Heat, power and water confirmed in empty houses, generators exercised, snow contracts supervised, and roofs watched for ice dams and load.
Mud season
Drives, culverts and drainage checked as the frost comes out of the ground; basements and sump pumps watched through the thaw.
Summer
Grounds and landscape crews scheduled and checked, and the exterior repairs and the year’s projects done while the weather allows.
Autumn
Gutters cleared once the leaves are down, irrigation and outdoor water shut off, and the house made ready for the cold.

Questions
Do you manage properties in Vermont as well as New Hampshire?
Yes. I work from Plainfield, New Hampshire, which sits on the Connecticut River opposite Hartland, Vermont. The Vermont towns I serve — Norwich, Hartford, White River Junction, Quechee, Woodstock, Pomfret, Barnard, Windsor and Hartland — get the same services, held to the same standard, as the New Hampshire side.
Can you look after a Vermont second home while I am away?
Yes. Home watch for absent owners is a core part of the work: regular interior and exterior inspections, heat, water, power and security confirmed, checks after storms and hard freezes, and the house opened, warmed and provisioned before you arrive.
Who gets the call when something happens at the house?
I do. Alarm companies, neighbors, delivery drivers and contractors all have one responsible local contact, so you are never the keyholder of last resort from somewhere else.
Every house is different. Tell me about yours.
Also serving New Hampshire, across the river.
